For the first time in two years, we are heading towards a summer of little to no covid restrictions. However, although that Mediterranean getaway you've been dreaming of is now a possibility, the word 'staycation' is still on everyone's lips. And it's no wonder, when not only is there a wealth of incredible locations across the UK, there is a whole host of beautiful hotels to choose from too.
It's always a joy to see our designs in real homes and projects, especially when nestled amongst some of the most fabulous locations across the country and we've been lucky enough to be featured in some lovely new developments recently. With this in mind, whether you're looking for your next break or some hotel-standard interiors inspiration, keep reading to discover which places have made it onto our Staycation bucket list.
The charm of an Artist Residence hotel is that no two rooms are the same, with each fitted out in a selection of original art and reclaimed furniture. This eclectic and carefully curated look is definitely one after our own hearts and so we were thrilled to supply some of our fabrics for their striking headboard designs. In the words of our founder: "Headboards are an inexpensive way of transforming a bedroom. They are essentially alternative forms of artwork" and offer a really easy way of re-creating that luxurious hotel look at home especially when using lush printed velvets like Uzbek and Bukhara as Artist Residence have done.
Nestled on the edge of Belgravia in between the bustling Victoria station and historic Sloane Square is the charming Lime Tree Hotel, the perfect spot for your next city break. As well as offering a luxurious place to rest your head, hotel bedrooms are a wealth of interiors inspiration for your own home and the Lime Tree Hotel is no exception! Of course, we might be a little biased as they have used a selection of our designs throughout this Georgian townhouse with sumptuously elegant bedroom suites. If you do visit, you can enjoy an artfully curated selection of our cushions throughout the building and spot our Library wallpaper allowing their 'Cosy Double' room to live up to its name.

Rothay Manor is a Grade II listed country house residing in the heart of the Lake District. Surrounded by the craggy hills of which Wainwright wrote so fondly and sitting on the edge of Lake Windermere's ethereal waters we could hardly think of a better setting for our Mythical Land wallpaper. Whether you've spent the day rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking or simply getting some fresh air, the place you put your feet up at the end of the day has got to feel homely with an added sense of luxuriousness which we think Rothay Manor captures perfectly. With boldly papered walls, sumptuously plump fringed cushions, lush textures, and warm colour palettes this cosy bolthole is ticking all the boxes for us. Plus these are all techniques which can be easily recreated to give your own home the five-star feeling.

Last year Martin and the Design Team were tasked with giving The George Hotel on the Isle of Wight a sprinkle of Andrew Martin magic ahead of their reopening post-lockdown, and you can bet we are counting down the days until we can return to the Isle's sandy beaches and sparkling seas. Sitting on the water's edge between the castle and the pier in the bustling town of Yarmouth on the northern coast, this 17th Century townhouse has been transformed into a modern summer getaway with an Italian inspired beachfront garden. Each space through the hotel was given a little refresh, whether through wallpaper, paint, furniture and of course cushions. The aim was to give each rooms its own unique character whilst also complimenting the buildings history and dazzling views. Pay a visit and you'll spot our Mythical Land wallpaper, the perfect background to a fairytale standard wooden four posted. As well as rooms saturated in an array of our paint shades and classic prints such as Hedgerow and Psycho Sprig in various forms throughout.
