Handcrafted
We believe in the quality of British craftmanship and our
furniture is hand-crafted and made-to-order, right here in our own
South Wales workshop.
Each item is skilfully fashioned by time-served upholsterers,
seamstresses and cutters many of whom have been with us for over 20
years.
Only the best Materials
The core of any good sofa starts with the frame, ours are made
from solid birch hardwood, which is kiln dried to add strength and
prevent warping. This is then glued, stapled and screwed to create
an extremely strong structure.
Renowned throughout the Design world, the exclusive Andrew
Martin fabric range is synonymous with our long-standing brand.
They carry our signature DNA of luxurious travel-inspired global
design, which is close to our heart and has inspired the world's
top Interior designers for 45 years.
30-year structural guarantee – our sofas are built to last
We are so confident in our sofa upholstery production that we
offer a 30-year structural guarantee (on the structural integrity
of the frame). Many of our customers have re-covered their Andrew
Martin sofas many times over, updating the fabric to meet their
interior style, whilst the superior level of comfort and
craftmanship lives on.
Delivery into your home
We really do pride ourselves on our delivery and customer care
teams. Our customers tell us we offer a service a cut above the
competition.
All our sofas will arrive with a 2-man, white glove delivery
team who will deliver your sofa to the room of your choice, unpack
it, assemble it and then remove all the packaging from your home.
They will even take their shoes off first!
Keeping sustainable
Manufacturing in Britain in our own factory allows us to take a
more sustainable approach.
For example, our Workshop in South Wales is heated purely using
our-off cuts of wood that would otherwise be destined for land
fill.
Our frames are made from beech hard wood, all FSC approved
timber, meaning it is sourced in line with the responsible
management of the UK's forests.
And for our fabrics, we partner with the UK and Europe's top
weaving and printing mills to bring you the highest quality and eco
conscious fabrics, which are manufactured using the most up-to-date
looms and printing methods complying with stringent regulation and
environmental standards.
We use natural yarns of cotton, linen, and viscose as much as we
possibly can, to reduce the need to back coat or treat the fabrics
with chemicals, making them softer, more comfortable, and kinder to
you and the planet.
We believe this approach ensures that you know you're buying a
responsibly sourced, high-quality product which you can enjoy and
appreciate for years to come.
We plant a tree for every order placed
At the start of 2022, we teamed up with Carma as a move towards
making Andrew Martin a more carbon neutral company, whilst also
supporting our Veteran community within the UK and some of the
poorest communities around the world.
