From concept to installation our design team created El Lodge: a luxury ski chalet in Sierra Nevada, which boasts 20 rooms, a restaurant, bar, spa, games room and all the ski accoutrement a luxury chalet might need.
The interior design scheme seamlessly combines exclusivity with casual comfort. Nominated 5th in the Best Family Hotels in the World by Conde Nast Traveller and featured in CNN's 10 of the World's Most Beautiful Ski Lodges, El Lodge has sprinkled angel dust on the slopes of Sierra Nevada and put it on the map as a destination resort.
El Lodge nestles naturally into the mountains, built from top to bottom with Finnish logs and floor-to-ceiling windows that show off stunning views of the slopes and bring the outside in. It exudes a rustic cabin feel with hanging antlers, animal hides, faux fur and leather upholstery. Earthy colour schemes, predominantly red and brown with warm lighting, make the rooms cosy after a day of skiing and big vintage ski prints dance amongst colourful pop art. Luxury elements come from clean cut glass, chrome finishes and quality furniture and fabrics that withstand the turnover of guests.
El Lodge doesn't escape the quirky touches of Andrew Martin either. A former ski bubble is suspended in the staircase window and bright light bulb signs adorn the walls. The adult games room is decorated like a contemporary take on a gentleman's club lounge.
This design project, as a whole, breathes playful confidence throughout all four floors of the chalet, allowing guests to relax into enjoyable luxury.
