The Andrew Martin design team worked to fulfil the owner's vision for the popular restaurant and bar on the King's Road, London: Jak's.
The look imbues an exclusive cave of treasures, an adult's playroom where at every turn you're in for an aesthetic surprise. The 50 ft woman poster invites you into her lair with a ferociously bold demeanour that sets the tone for a spirited interior style.
The team stripped back the former interiors to leave exposed brick, visible brass piping and heavy metal pillars with scratched paint, creating the ultimate feel of an edgy London scene. They installed a long length bar made from re-purposed wooden beams and an open kitchen with exposed stonework, chrome and glass.
The space is fitted with industrial, miss-matching furniture with brushed metal finishes paired with leather Chesterfield sofas and travellers' trunks, which gives it the playful undertone of a vintage gentleman's club. The upholstery displays stripes and kilim motifs and the tiled floor is decorated with Persian rugs to accentuate the warm and exotic feel of this Aladdin's eclectic cave.
