In the first half of the twentieth century, Danish architects attempted to address the issue of glare inherent in electric light. Barron applies the solution they came up with-layered, curved shades-to light fixtures with a floral bent. A finely textured black on the outside and a metal finish on the inside, Barron's shade is a visual delight in person. An opal-etched diffuser nests within the shade to further soften and diffuse the light.
