Jahangir Red

A small, painterly elephant design printed on 100% woven cotton ground in regal red. The sandy elephants stand out of this rustic weave, with delicate flicks of red and green from the saddle rug pattern.

This fabric was taken from the Indian Mughal dynasty where the crowning architectural achievement was the Taj Mahal: the tomb that Jehan built as a testament to his love for his wife Mahal. It fittingly embodies every suggestion of lavish detailing, whimsical romance and spiritual ground that you'd find at this iconic burial place on the banks of the Yamuna river.
